2013.12.03 daydreaming about show controller spec
random access to individual scenes required
is there any need for more than one scene per movement?
cue points inside of scenes?
skip 15/30/60 seconds in each direction?
ability to redefine sequence of scenes (for excerpted performances, rehearsals, etc.)
(easy to specify as a list / array at initialization time)
ideally a dual-screen format - elapsed time and responses to user controls on second screen
and/or switchable rehearsal/debugging overlay with framecount, elapsed time, etc.
integrating dmx as well as projection; camera input?
(and predefined photographic or video imagery as a form of latency workaround)
(or imagery captured in performance but used out of time….)
handle masking/letterboxing/mismatch between projection and surface aspect ratio
likely means internal variables replacing/relative to width, height
transitions: fadeouts/fadeins only, or something else?
and if so, is drawing a black foreground sufficient, or do you need global transparency controls?
ideally express begin and end times as 0.0 and 1.0? cue times? hmm
would allow global calculation of intervals from a single duration specification
(issues with using floats are soluble)
would you need to adapt durations relative to excerpts, etc.?
does this do what needs doing in terms of making duration prototyping easy?
